Aesthetic Dentistry

  Camera: Our digital camera has several uses in our office. We are able to take before and after photos of people you have orthodontics completed, and also of patients that have cosmetic dental work done. Also, we use the camera to provide insurance company's proof that a tooth may need a crown or onlay due to it is breaking down. Another very importance use is that we are able to educate our patients of areas of concern in their own mouth. By using photos of their mouth, they are able to become an active partner in the home care instructions they receive.
     
  Kavodent: The Kavodent is a laser cavity detector. This enables us to find decay in the pits and fissures of teeth (grooves) when they are still in the early stages.
     
 

Computer: We have several uses for our computer system in our office. We depend on it for all our patient information. We use it for filling our insurance claims electronically and as a tool for educating our patients, etc.

     
 

Tooth colored fillings: Dr. Rajek uses resin (tooth colored) fillings as opposed to amalgam fillings on permanent (adult) teeth. Studies have shown that this type of filling bonds better to the original tooth structure and they look much nicer.

     
 

Veneers: A veneer is a durable ceramic material that fits on the front and side surfaces of your teeth. A veneer is aesthetically pleasing, as they cover and protect worn or chipped teeth. Veneers may also improve a smile that has space between the teeth, without going through orthodontics.
